Sermon: Hold the Room
Scriptures: Matthew 26:39
God’s Silence, Passion, and Purpose:
-In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus prayed, “O My Father, if it is
possible, let this cup pass from me, nevertheless, not as I will but as
you will.”
-Jesus heard nothing from Heaven.
-What Jesus wanted didn’t change God’s passion and purpose for his
life.
-It was not Jesus’ will, but God’s will be done.
-Jesus’ time had come, he couldn’t stay with his sleeping disciples
much longer.
-The disciples couldn’t go with him.
-The whole entire earth was Jesus’ room.
-He held onto the cross for us.
-His death on the cross gave us access to the Tree of Life.
Your Purpose and Your Passion:
-God passionately deposited you into the world.
-There have been things purposefully ordained by God to happen in
your life.
-You don’t have to look for purpose if you understand your passion.
-Have you ever asked God what is your purpose?
Hold the Room:
-You must learn to hold the room.
-The room has not only to be held BY YOU, but FOR YOU.
-When you show up (hold the room), everyone and everything in the
room will acknowledge (confirm) your presence.
-You have power, hold the room, and call it to you.
Your Time Has Come:
-Your time has come, expand your wings and the wind (glory) of God
will carry you.
-Where God is taking you, everybody can’t come with you.
-You are right in God’s divine timing.
-You go with love and prayers, but you go with God’s everlasting
love, protection, and passion.
-God got you, he will hold and control the room for you.
