Hi,
I`m one of the volunteers at my church who helps with creating the Proclaim presentations.
I have noticed when we shut down Proclaim on the machine we use at church it gets stuck with a message 'Uploading Media' ... we have to now force shutdown the application when closing it at church.
I`m conscious also that we have not archived (might be better to phrase as deleted) our older Sunday presentations for a number of years. Could keeping all the previous presentations be slowing Proclaim down ?
With my login to Faithlife I can see all the sermons we have uploaded in the last couple of years in Logos Sermons, is it prudent to keep a certain number of presentations - the last year or so ? Is there a way to check the size being taken up by the uploaded Proclaim presentations .
We use different media (moving backgrounds, still backgrounds, imported images etc) along with the worship words and sermon bible verses.
Any prior experience in this would be greatly appreciated !!
Thanks
- your old presentations should not cause issues. The 'big' part of presentations are the media files themselves and Proclaim cleans those up automatically when they haven't been used and will re-download them when you need them/ If it said 'uploading media' then Proclaim thinks it has an upload that hasn't finished. If you close Proclaim before the upload finishes, it won't be available on other computers. That is why we stop you from shutting Proclaim down. It could be that you have something stuck. If you go back to Proclaim and hit the sync icon, you should see an upload there, and you can cancel it.
- Will give the above a go and feedback on progress, thank you Jordan.
