Besides the app - which is good for us when wifi is strong... what presentation remote are you using or which one do you recommend. We have been using one that is over 15 years old. Thinking it is time to upgrade!
- The drawback I have experienced with presentation remotes, , is that Proclaim must be in focus for the remote to work. We control cameras and OBS on our presentation computer and when doing that Proclaim is not in focus so the presentation remote is useless until someone at the computer clicks on Proclaim to put it back into focus. I'd love to see some sort of way to sync Proclaim with a presentation remote so that it works even when Proclaim isn't in focus, but I don't believe that is doable. Unless there has been a great deal of advancement in the last few years, these remotes work by generating a keyboard click (Arrow up, down, right or left). So, if a different program is being used when someone clicks the slide advance button the computer applies that action to the current program.
- - we don't have that drawback as we have always used a dedicated presentation computer for Proclaim. We have a completely separate system for streaming. We've been blessed to be able to keep each of these entirely in their own orbit. In all of the years we have used this system, we have never had a glitch with our presentation remotes (even when we combine using the app with our remotes).
