I'm getting a warning that I'm running low on disk space and Proclaim may have trouble saving recordings & media. Any advice? I don't know what this means or how to correct it. Thank you. ctw1712@gmail.com
- It, literally, means that your hard disk is becoming full and while the operating system may be able to do some tricks to squeeze your latest media on it will eventually fill up and things will grind (quickly) to a halt. If you let us know some details of your computer and operating system somebody might well be able to advise regarding your next steps.
- I get the warning on my computer at home, but when I got it, I thought it was Proclaim Software, and hoped it would not affect the computer that runs Proclaim at church (a dedicated [Proclaim only] mini mac). Device name DESKTOP-FM079EU Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10510U CPU @ 1.80GHz 2.30 GHz Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.8 GB usable) Device ID 22B5E584-A0F8-4F41-9505-F3E9ECDCF720 Product ID 00325-96697-70850-AAOEM System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor Pen and touch Touch support with 10 touch points
- Hi Luis - this warning will only pertain to the computer it comes up on. You would be well advised to check on the state of your hard disc as many programs, Logos especially, need a deal of empty space to juggle files in. The received wisdom is that at least a third of your hard disc space should be unused for storage. Depending on the age of and size of the hard disc in you Mac mini you should never see this warning if you have it connected to the internet.
