- I use this procedure, Living Grace Church and I find it saves me time.
- I think I am doing the same thing, Living Grace. Each week, I duplicate the previous week's presentation; then make the necessary changes (most of the time just the songs, the Scripture and Sermon title). For Communion Sunday (1st Sunday each month), I duplicate the previous month's presentation and make any changes the pastor makes in the litany. We have used Proclaim for many years so we have a large library of songs we can "reuse."

I also use Smart Media, in this way: • Format a New or Existing song in Proclaim so that it has everything set how you want (Fonts, line spacing, default background, Title location, copyright location, etc.). • Once done, right click the song slide in the right window pane, and select "Customize Smart Media" from the pop up menu. • When the Customize Window opens you can do one of the following: 1. Select "Save" and give your new Smart Media a Title - All of your formatting will be saved BUT you will NOT SEE it displayed/formatted on the Thumbnail view. (Note: The processing of saving your Smart Media always takes longer than you would expect.) 2. Alternatively, use the Customize Window to rebuild what you see; set the Title, Lyrics, Font, Size, Location, Background image, copyright info, etc. (NOTE If you put the title in the center it will appear to be overlaid with the lyrics but this is only in the thumbnail view). Then select Save, give a title to your smart media, and now the thumbnail will display the settings you made. • Your new Smart Media is saved to your Group Upload Folder. If you prefer you can create a Board and call it something like "worship favorites", or "song templates", then you can add all your smart media to that board for quick access. • Now create a NEW SONG: Choose ADD ITEM, then SONG, from the main menu. In the Middle Window Pane, type the Title of the Song, then scroll down in the window below and select the song that you know matches your song, OR scroll to the bottom and under CREATE A NEW SONG select the song title you created. • In the Pop-Up Window, confirm the details of the song, and select the ADD SONG button. • Now in your presentation, select the song in the Left Window Pane, and in the Center Window Pane, finalize the song lyrics as needed. • In the Right Window Pane of the new song, select the BACKGROUND button at the top, then BROWSE MEDIA and go to the Smart Media you created (in either the Group Upload Folder, or in a Custom Board where you saved it. Note: if you saved your Smart Media to a custom board, it will still be in the Group Upload Folder, and if you delete it from either, it will be deleted from both) • Select the Smart Media item you saved, then in the far right window pane where it says "Apply to Current" select AS SMART MEDIA. In the future, when you want to use the same song again, be you can go to ADD ITEM in the main menu and select REUSE ITEM (or control-shift-R), Type in the name of the song and choose if from a list of past services.
