just before the service yesterday found that unable to access Proclaim because of the latest update 4.20, not compatible with our Mac OS which is Big Sur and due to age of Mac can’t be updated. Can we install an earlier version of Proclaim and stop it updating again, if so do we need to uninstall current version and where can we find a download of 4.10. It’s very frustrating.
- This sort of thing - removing support for old hardware/software - really should not be happening in the kingdom, it’s bad enough when the world does it, they do it to make people spend money, why do our brothers and sisters in the kingdom do it? Anyway, observations aside, I can only think of two options: the obvious one - which I’m guessing isn’t really an option - buy a new machine; the other is make use of a piece of software called Open Core Legacy Patcher (OCLP). I have an old laptop that, like yours, stopped supporting updates to MacOS with Big Sur, it now runs the latest MacOS - Sequoia and supports the latest version of Proclaim. The big plus - it’s free! but you’ll need someone tech savvy to install it for you. Google it and see whether it’s for you. Hope all goes well. God bless.
