Hey gang,
My worship leader wants to add a space in between some of the lines on a normal song, but when we do it makes everything following a new slide. Is there a way to add a space in between lines?
- Bill, while there isn't a refined way to do so in Proclaim, there's a work around you can perform using what are called Whitespace characters. There's multiple ways to put them into the text boxes in Proclaim. The easiest is copy and pasting them from a source. I'll provide one below: ][ While those brackets may look empty, there's a Whitespace character inbetween them. To put them into Proclaim, you want to copy those brackets and paste them in Proclaim where you want your line break. You then want to delete the brackets individually. You do not want to backspace over both of them, but select each of them individually using the cursor. An example is attached to this post. (Continued)
- (Continued) You want to make sure the cursor is placed in front of where the brackets were, before hitting enter to create the line break. This will effectively move the whitespace character into the new line. Following the above will add a linebreak to the slide while making Proclaim believe there's a character there. We understand this work around is a bit complicated, so feel free to email us directly if you'd like more information regarding it.
- I started using whitespace characters (thank you Peter June!) recently and it really helps the aeshetics on certain songs
