Overview

How is the Christian religion different from all the other world religions? Does the Bible contain error, contradictions, or discrepancies? If God knew that Satan would rebel and Adam and Eve would sin, why did He create them? What are the dangers of postmodernism? These are questions that concern every Christian, and the online ministry of Got Questions provides basic, Scriptural answers to these questions and over 2,000 similar questions in this volume. Covering a myriad of questions about God, the Trinity, salvation, the Church, the End Times, theology, prayer, sin, relationships, and eternity, this is a handy apologetics resource for seasoned believers, new Christians, and anyone seeking concise answers to these vital questions.

Written with the commonalities of all believers in mind, these questions are answered from a non-denominational point of view, addressing many of the predominantly held beliefs of modern Christians. Each of the 2,000 questions features a detailed yet succinct explanation. With the Logos edition, all Scripture references are linked to the resources in your library, making searching and referencing quick and easy.

  • Massive quick resource for general readers, students, and pastors
  • Contains answers to over 2,000 theological and practical questions
  • Reference guide and index to navigate through questions

“If you want to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and receive forgiveness from God, here is prayer you can pray. Saying this prayer or any other prayer will not save you. It is only trusting in Jesus Christ that can provide forgiveness of sins. This prayer is simply a way to express to God your faith in Him and thank Him for providing for your forgiveness. ‘God, I know that I have sinned against You and am deserving of punishment. But Jesus Christ took the punishment that I deserve so that through faith in Him I could be forgiven. I place my trust in You for salvation. Thank You for Your wonderful grace and forgiveness! Amen!’” (source)

“Hebrew word tzitzit (fringes) is 600. Each of the fringes contains 8 threads and 5 knots, making a total of 613. Based on rabbinical Judaism, this number corresponds to the 613 commandments contained in the Torah.” (source)

“the Hebrew Scriptures, the word used to describe the realm of the dead is sheol.” (source)

“Living according to His revealed will should be the chief aim or purpose of our lives.” (source)

“The Sadducees preserved the authority of the written Word of God, especially the books of Moses” (source)

It is a pleasure to see an organization based on sound doctrine, concerned about fulfilling scriptural models to answer those who ask (Colossians 4:6; 1 Peter 3:15) and geared to reach the vast audience of cyberspace.

Dr. Norman Geisler, author of I Don't Have Enough Faith to Be an Atheist

There are questions we often do not ask. And sometimes books like this can give insights into Scripture. How often are terms or ideas presented tht we do not look into to see what they stand for. It gives you things to think about. Recognize issues that we are not aware of because we sometimes do not look deep enough to see the real truth. I like the answer for the 95 thesis. It was short and provides the root of what was involved. There is much more to the story but gives you a start and what to look for to study more on the subject. and you will find the good, the Bad and the ugly of Christianity thru some of these questions. There are groups who claim to be Christian but do not act like it. Not all answers are complete but it is a starting point to verify the truth. Important to stay Biblical and not move away from the Bible as the foundation of our faith. You can agree or disagree with their answers But use it as a starting point for deeper understanding of the topic of a question.

This book has 'some' good information, but it has an anti Pentecostal/Charismatic slant
