Hello,
Proclaim
. I'm trying to keep this at the top: https://faithlife.com/posts/5779955 I have more info and more logs. It seems that attempting to edit while on air is causing our CPU usage to jump to 100% (1st screenshot). This has the effect of knocking the Remote tablets off and the only way to get the Remotes to work again is to go off air and back on. But when I did this on Sunday, the CPU usage remained above 75% so I chose to shut down Proclaim and reopen it. The 2nd screenshot is my CPU after restarting Proclaim. I am also recording and streaming with OBS. As long as I didn't try to edit while on air it remained around 45% to 55%. It did have a bump to 65% when I played a video, but that is because I had the Lower 3rds for the video set to Video when I should have changed it to blank. Please find a solution -- I have attached the logs to an email reply to

Hello Proclaim; Someone needs to fix the problem I reported more than 2 weeks ago. Also we had a crash this morning. First; last week the songs all disappeared from the Proclaim Remotes. I reported this problem more than 2 weeks ago. We use a Samsung Tablet (fully updated to the latest version of the remote) and an iPad Pro (also fully updated). More than 2 weeks ago I asked that SOMEONE FIND A SOLUTION because I was going to be out of town and the volunteers won't know what to do. No one responded beyond asking a couple of questions. PLEASE find a solution. It was suggested that there was a duplicate slide, but no one offered any solution. Proclaim Logs 05262024 attached. Second; today I was trying to edit the verse order and Proclaim crashed Proclaim Logs June 16 2024 attached. Which brings me to the last issue the files never completely upload so I am sharing here (screenshot).

Thank you for all the info

. I think I've finally made some progress here, and can reproduce what you're described, or at least something similar. In short, the Remote loses the Local WiFi connection when the presenting computer integrates changes made from a different computer (that would cause your CPU spike. I've hammered my computer to produce the same spike in other circumstances and my Remote stays connected). On Android, this leaves the Remote open, but completely empty. The only way to get back in is to close and reopen it. And, if you want the Local Wifi connection back, you have to take the presentation off air too. On iOS, the Remote crashes. Proclaim syncs down when on air edits are made, so I'm guessing you have pending changes elsewhere and they are getting integrated when you make edits. Without pending changes, my edits from the presenting computer integrate just fine and don't boot me off the Remote. Fortunately, there's an easy workaround: disable Local WiFi. That lets me sync between computers while on air just fine. Does this line up with your experience? I've attached a photo of my Android Remote, and I'm hoping you can verify that you see the same thing as me.

    Hmmmm, similar,

. Though I don't know where there might be "pending changes elsewhere" unless someone else might have the Proclaim presentation open on their computer and that is the "elsewhere." If it is possible that it could be another computer that is running the current presentation, I'll ask anyone on the team to make sure they leave their computer off on Sunday. Changing slides without local WIFI has always been pretty laggy, but we will give it a try. I haven't tried going with local WIFI since we got Starlink -- all the other ISPs in our area are really slooooooow. I'll see if I can reproduce all this on Friday when I can get away from work and be in front of the presentation computer. We will be using our "Church in the Park" computer on Sunday, and I have experienced the loss of songs on the remotes with that computer. So we will see. I will also enable the In-App Profiler in case it can provide more info.

    Hi
    Steven Stoops
, We shipped an update to the Proclaim Remote (version 4.2.4.0) at the beginning of the week that we hope resolves this for you. Now, when a sync'd update is pushed to the Local Wifi remote, the presentation will reload (it may take a few seconds) instead of leaving you looking at an empty app window. Thanks for you patience, and please let us know if you continue to have issues.
